What Time?
I, like most other students, have a major problem with time management. Balancing school and your personal life can be a difficult thing to do. I used to be in cheerleading, dance, and an employee at Hollister in high school, which was not easy. I never had time to do my homework because I would go straight from school, to cheer practice, then dance practice, then work. How can someone who is a student, in a sport, has a job, social life, family, friends, have time to do anything?
One factor that students can be stressed out can be because of their time management. Some people have classes all day long, while others have practice for a sport for hours. There are also people in clubs and activities and their own personal/social lives to worry about. And not to mention that the average teenager should get around 8-9 hours of sleep every night. We are told that it is important to have all of those aspects in our life, yet might not be able to approach them with enough time.
If we could begin to understand that time management can be a major issue with high school and college students, we might work to find a better way of doing things. Adjusting a few things, like maybe only watching one episode per day on Netflix, or eating while doing your homework, in your daily life can impact the time you have left throughout the day. Taking the time to think things through, like what you will get done at what time, might help to better manage your time and possibly get more than four hours of sleep a night.
